Having a marriage in crisis is simply terrible. Your whole world is in turmoil and life is not as good as it should be. These 3 simple words may help you get your marriage back on track.
- Live
- Laugh
- Love
Let's look at all 3 in isolation:-
- Live - We only get one shot at life at it is important that you live your life to the full. Having a marriage in crisis, stops you from doing this, so now is the time to get your life back on track. It is no use just living each day in pain. The matter simply needs to be addressed. My thoughts are that you need to do everything in your power to save your marriage. Having had a marriage last for nearly 40 years, I know how beautiful and rewarding life can be when you are in a happy marriage. Being able to work through tough times makes you stronger and you will will appreciate your marriage once you have faced and overcome your problems. Fix your marriage and you will really start to live.
- Laugh - Within reason, don't take your life so seriously. Learn to laugh again and be happy. Work through your marriage issues and the laughter can return. When it does, count your blessings and laugh like there is no tomorrow.
- Love - There was something about your partner that made you fall in love in the first place. Why has that disappeared? Together you need to work out what went wrong and put a plan in place that will help you top start loving each other again. My favourite saying about love is this - "to love and to be loved is to feel the sun on both sides".
Don't bury your head in the sand and hope that all will be well in the end. Chances are they won't and chances are that you will wind up in the divorce courts.
Invest some time in learning to "live, laugh and love" and your marriage may well overcome your present difficulties and bloom the way it was always meant to.
If you want to save your marriage and believe that you need some help, there is a really good online program that you should consider. This program is specially designed for helping those with a marriage in crisis and I would encourage you to at least have a look at what the program offers. You never know - it could be a life changing event!
